Volkswagen thinks about the release of the electric citicar ID.1-size e-up!
“Tiny” car of the German mark may appear in 2023. Most likely, he intended for the European market.
The company VW in the end of last year, shared their plans for the future: until 2024 it plans to spend 11 billion euros on the development of electric vehicles. Among the goals of the group is to make the “female” cars are available for different segments of the population with a ruler ID. For this you need to make them more affordable. We will remind, the first representative of a new family – electric hatchback ID.3 – was presented in the fall of last year. The company does not intend to stop: in the future the market will see another hatch, this time the initial level.

Recall, it depicts Santa Claus sitting behind the wheel of compact “monocab”. Then it was reported that the working title of “hatch” entry-level – ID. Entry. For more recent data, published by the British edition СarMagazine, the novelty will receive the name ID.1. Electric car will probably be based on a “more economic” version of the framework MEB, which is the basis of other models of the family ID. According to the publication, “the little” will be offered with two battery options, presumably with a capacity of 24 and 36 kW*h of power Reserve on a single charge, the version with the “big” battery will last for 298 km.
