Volkswagen previously confirmed that the next Amarok will retain V6 TDI diesel turbo units in the lineup. In addition, the range of engines should include a new 2.7-liter petrol “turbo” from the new Ford Ranger, with which Amarok will share the main components and components as part of a partnership between the German and American concern. The pickup truck will be available with both rear-wheel drive and two all-wheel drive systems: plug-in and permanent.

The next-generation Volkswagen Amarok will begin production in 2023 in the Argentine city of General Pacheco, as well as in Silverton, South Africa. The previous model was assembled at a plant in Hannover, Germany.
