The decrease in the number of road accidents continued in August 2018 (minus 2.1%)

The number of accidents in 8 months of 2018 amounted to 102 thousand (minus 2.1%)

The state traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Federation published 8 monthly end of 2018. As it turned out, from January to August were recorded 102 thousand automobile accident (-2.1%). In which he received wounds of different severity order 131 thousand persons (-2.3%)were killed 10 thousand people (-6%).

In statistics it is noted that the number of accidents “victims” were divided in the following categories in the given proportions:

With drivers (persons administering motor vehicle) 47.806 accident (-1,8%);

The cyclists 3.907 accidents (alas, +3,8% compared to the same period last year);

Passengers 38.507 (-0,6%);

Pedestrians 28.549 (-4,8%)

It should be noted that the number of road accidents with suboticki consequences for the eight-month period decreased by 5.6%, which in quantitative terms corresponds to the 135 accidents.

Section №2: “Traffic accidents and victims of violations of traffic rules by drivers of vehicles, January – August 2018”, it is clearly seen that for the period from the beginning of the year to the end of summer this year show a negative trend in the number of accidents because of traffic violations by drivers of vehicles (all vehicle): 1.6%.

At the same time, leaders of all types of steel vehicle drivers licensed to transport activity (1.286 accident, 16.4% growth). Their fault he killed 55 people and wounded 1.650 citizens.

Bus drivers: 3.632 accidents and 3.6% growth compared to the same period last year.

Truck drivers: 6.759 accident because of traffic violations this category of motorists (1.3% growth).

Motorcycle riders – similar to the 1.3% growth in the number of accidents, but the General quantitative expression less – 3.509 accident.

If you take the largest growth in percentage terms, you cannot ignore the workers sitting behind the wheel of the tractor and the remote control trams: 24.9 and 25.8% growth in the number of accidents. Or 596 and 112 of the accident, respectively.

As can be seen, the number of accidents in this sector increased slightly.

However, if you notice on the table the traffic police for the period (Statistics of road accident in Russia in January-August 2018), it appears that for all other indicators, the accident rate continues to decline. Even the notorious paragraph “the Commission of which is accompanied by insufficient housing conditions and improvement of the road network (NDU)”, in other words because of the bad roads, showed a decrease of 13.9%. However, this cannot be said of railroad crossings. At the moment, for the 2018 year, there were 169 accidents, which is 10.5% more than last year.
