Subaru has published a teaser for the most extreme version of the Forester crossover , which will be part of the new Wilderness off-road line. The car will premiere on September 2, 2021.

According to preliminary data, the new version of the Forester will receive improvements in the spirit of the Outback Wilderness station wagon , presented in March this year. Such a car has a significantly modernized reinforced suspension with increased travel and increased ground clearance from 210 mm to 240 mm, as well as 17-inch aluminum wheels with Yokohama Geolandar off-road tires.

In addition, it differs from the standard station wagon by enlarged wheel arches, a protective plate for the engine crankcase, special LED fog lights, and a matte black anti-glare element in the middle of the hood. The interior now has seats covered with a special water-repellent material.

According to Carscoops, the new Subaru Forester Wilderness will be equipped with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine developing 185 hp. and 239 Gm of torque. The engine will work in conjunction with a variator and four-wheel drive system.
