Land Rover has unveiled the updated 2022 Velar crossover with an expanded range of support systems and a new special version. As the press service of the British automaker notes, the cars will reach Russia as well.

The new special edition, which will be released in a limited edition, is called the Auric Edition. The car in this design features a special finish for the radiator grille, badges, bonnet, doors and front fenders vents, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels. 22-inch wheels and a contrast roof are available as options.

The set of standard equipment includes a customizable virtual dashboard and infotainment complex Pivi Pro with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the ability to update software “over the air” from the cloud.

In addition, an improved system of ionization and air purification in the cabin was added to the crossover, which filters microparticles, and also eliminates allergens and unpleasant odors. Plus, a CO2 sensor appeared in the cabin, which monitors and regulates the optimal level of carbon dioxide.

Among the electronic “assistants” there is a modernized adaptive cruise control, which not only controls acceleration and braking, but can also automatically steer, leveling the car in the occupied lane.

In Russia, the updated Jaguar will be offered with 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines with a capacity of 249 and 199 hp. respectively. In addition, the crossover will be available with 3.0-liter six-cylinder petrol and diesel units with 400 hp. and 340 hp. respectively. The ruble prices for the crossover will be announced later.
