The Chinese company Sany Group, which specializes in the production of road construction equipment, including cranes, trucks and excavators, will develop an electric pickup truck. The novelty will be able to compete with the Tesla Cybertruck, according to CarNewsChina, which had patent images of the car at its disposal.

The heavy equipment manufacturer has registered the Xingbida automobile company, in which Sany acts as the sole shareholder. It follows from the document that the company will develop electric vehicles, charging stations and replaceable traction batteries.

At the same time, judging by the patent images, cars will be produced under the main Sany brand – it is its name illuminated by diodes that is used as an emblem for the new electric pickup truck.

So far, all that is known about the future car is that it will receive a double cab, aerodynamic retractable door handles, off-road tires, as well as a set of video cameras and sensors that provide autonomous control functions. Other details will appear later.

Earlier it became known that the Chinese company Dongfeng is developing a new version of the large SUV Warrior , which looks like a classic army all-terrain vehicle HMMWV (“civilian” model is known as the Hummer H1). The basis of the car Warrior M18 will form a new platform under the designation MORV, developed by Dongfeng specifically for large electric vehicles. The SUV will receive a power plant with a total capacity of 800 kW, which is equivalent to 1087 horsepower.

A heavy 5.2-meter car weighing 3.1 tons will be able to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds” in about 5 seconds. A set of 140 kWh batteries will allow you to drive at least 500 kilometers on a single charge. At the same time, it will be possible to replenish the stock of batteries using a special fast system in less than 30 minutes.
