The first of two joint projects between Honda and General Motors will be the Prologue electric crossover. Its design, created in the Honda studio in Los Angeles, has already been approved – it remains to work on the “stuffing”, which will be based on GM technologies.

From General Motors, the overall crossover is expected to receive a platform, electronics and advanced Ultium traction batteries. From Honda, in addition to design, he will get fine tuning and a set of active safety systems Honda Sensing.

Judging by the only image so far, the Honda Prologue will indeed become a new and completely model. In its exterior, narrow headlights integrated into the false radiator grille, smooth body lines and off-road features in the face of unpainted plastic door sills and wheel arches stand out.

Dimensions and other technical characteristics of the novelty have not yet been announced, but everything indicates that it will be a mid-size crossover that can be put on a par with the Honda CR-V and Cadillac XT4.

The new Honda Prologue should enter the US market in early 2024. And a little later, another SUV will appear from the Japanese-American “duo”, but already under the Acura brand, which is a subsidiary of Honda.
