Lamborghini has unveiled a new supercar Huracan Tecnica, designed for high-speed driving on the track, but at the same time certified for driving on public roads. The public premiere of the car will take place as part of the New York International Auto Show.
In the Huracan model family, the Tecnica modification will sit between the standard rear-wheel drive Evo RWD supercar and the extreme track version of the STO. Outwardly, the novelty differs from other members of the family in a number of unique elements borrowed from various concept cars and other rare cars of the Italian brand.
For example, the coupe received a special front bumper with Y-shaped elements under the headlights in the style of the Sian hybrid hypercar and the Terzo Millenio concept. The side windows and sides are a nod to the Essenza SCV12 racing car, which was the first ever car to feature a full carbon fiber roll cage. Finally, Huracan Tecnica has been fitted with new 20-inch wheels that were on the virtual hypercar V12 Vision GT, designed for the racing simulator Gran Turismo.
Other changes include a full carbon fiber engine cover, a special vertical rear window and a spoiler that generates 35% more downforce compared to the regular Evo RWD. The mass of the car was 1379 kg – 10 kg less than the Evo RWD.
As for the technical stuffing, the Huracan Tecnica was equipped with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, the output of which was increased from 610 hp. and 560 Nm of torque up to 640 forces and 565 Newton meters. Coupe is able to gain the first “hundred” in 3.2 seconds, and its top speed is 325 km/h.
Prices for the new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica have not yet been announced. At the same time, the first cars will reach customers by the end of 2022.
