A rating of three-year residual value of used cars in Russia, as reported on the website avtostat-info.com, were calculated for 2018.

 

Data were obtained on the basis of a study of 316 models from 42 brands of cars with high mileage that were sold in 2015. All models were divided into two major segments: mass and premium.

The winner in the top three “small class”, according to experts, has become the Renault Logan, which for three years has kept 93,32% of its initial value.

Second and third place leaders got

Renault Sandero (89,39%) and Hyundai Solaris (86.2 per cent).

 

In the “Golf-class” best result in liquidity showed Mazda3, preserving 86,63% of the price 2015.

Second and third place:

Hyundai i30 (85,57%) and Hyundai Elantra (84,5%).

 

“Middle class” – and again “Mazda” leaders in the preservation of the value, only this time it’s model Mazda6 with an index of 89,66%.

Auto experts said that “in the segment of minivans, the best indicator of the residual value has shown the Citroen C4 Picasso (81,21%), followed in the ranking of Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (72,87%) and Chevrolet Orlando (61,84%). We can say that the class of minivans in 2015 was presented to these three models, which became participants of this rating”.

 

Among the “compact crossovers” is the most liquid car rankings in the mass segment – the Honda CR-V, which showed not a decline, and the rising cost in the market of used cars – 109,76%.

Renault Sandero Stepway took second place in the class (92,56%), the third level houses the crossover Mazda CX-5 (90,87%).

 

In the segment of “medium SUV” in the first place is the Kia Sorento, keeping 85,21% of the cost.

Volkswagen Touareg (84,33%) and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (of 84.31%).

 

The leader in residual value in the “large SUV” was the Ford Explorer (88,05%).
