Chinese Dongfeng showed a new crossover the size of Toyota RAV4
The Chinese company introduced the Hoaji mid-size crossover, created on a modified chassis of the Stellantis concern.
The Chinese company Dongfeng has published the first photos of a new crossover called Hoaji, which is close in size to the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan X-Trail models. Car sales will begin before the end of this year.
The external distinguishing feature of the crossover was a massive radiator grille with vertical slats, as well as narrow LED optics and a small spoiler on the trailing edge of the roof.
So far, the interior of the car can only be judged by design sketches, which show the front panel with the combined digital displays of the virtual instrument panel and the infotainment complex.
As for the technical stuffing, Dongfeng Hoaji was created on a modular platform DSMA (Dongfeng Superior Modular Architecture) with an independent rear suspension, which is an upgraded version of the Stellantis CMP architecture.
The crossover will be offered with a 1.5-liter petrol “turbo” with a capacity of 190 hp, working together with a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches. In addition, the model will have a hybrid modification with a 163-horsepower gasoline unit and an electric motor with a capacity of 177 horsepower. Other details about the new product will be announced later.
