A new project of the German tuning studio Brabus was a buggy called the 900 Crawler, created on the basis of the Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV. The car received significant external and technical improvements.

Specialists and Bottrop deprived the SUV of doors and windows, as a result of which the car was left without the certification necessary for driving on public roads. The machine, which does not have niches and mounts for license plates, is designed exclusively for driving on heavy off-road.

The Brabus 900 Crawler gets a red roll cage, all-new carbon fiber body panels, additional LED roof lighting, fender flares, a rear spoiler and off-road tires.

The ground clearance of the car has increased to 530 millimeters thanks to an upgraded chassis with portal axles and extended shock absorbers.

The digital index in the name of the SUV speaks of the return of its motor. The buggies were equipped with a V8 twin-turbo petrol unit, the working volume of which was increased from 4.0 to 4.5 liters. The engine, working together with a nine-speed “automatic” and an all-wheel drive system, develops 900 hp. and 1250 Nm of torque. The Brabus 900 Crawler is capable of accelerating from standstill to “hundreds” in 3.4 seconds, and its top speed is forcibly limited to 160 km/h for safety reasons.

A total of 15 such cars will be produced, prices for which start from 749 thousand euros. The first five cars will be assembled before the end of this year, and the remaining 10 will reach buyers in 2023 and 2024.
