Ford unveils new E-Transit Custom electric van for European market
Ford has unveiled the new E-Transit Custom electric van. As the successor to the European bestseller Transit, it is the first of four Ford commercial electric vehicles due out by 2024.

As noted in the press service of the manufacturer, the new E-Transit Custom was created from scratch in order to subsequently become the benchmark of the “one-ton” segment in Europe and help the European industry switch to environmentally friendly electrified vehicles.
Specifications of the Ford van will be revealed later. So far, all that is known is that it is built on a new electrical architecture that supports not only fast charging, but also ProPower technology, which allows the car to be used as a portable generator to power tools, lighting and other electrical equipment. The E-Transit Custom has a range limit of 236 miles or 380 kilometers.
The design of the novelty is rather not a revolution, but an evolution of the Ford corporate identity. This is best seen in the expressive “front end” with combined LED strip headlights, the original false radiator grille and a geometrically complex, but at the same time laconic bumper with a charging port.
More details about Ford’s new E-Transit Custom will be revealed closer to its production start, which is slated for the second half of 2023. Such vans will be produced at the facilities of the Ford Otosan joint venture in the Turkish province of Kocaeli, and from there they will be delivered to Europe.
