In addition to the dark blue body, the anniversary Tuareg also gets exclusive 20-inch wheels, rear windows tinted from the factory and special nameplates on the rear door windows. In the cabin, these crossovers will be recognizable by the embossed logo on the gear selector, new door sills and subtle red accents on the front panel and doors.
It will be possible to buy the Touareg Edition 20 with as many as three engines to choose from: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 231 or 286 hp, a TSI gasoline turbo engine of the same volume with a capacity of 340 hp and a hybrid power plant, where the gasoline internal combustion engine and electric motor give out a total of 381 horsepower. All three motors are combined with an eight-speed “automatic” and all-wheel drive only.
In Europe, the anniversary Volkswagen Touareg will go on sale in June and will cost at least 77,500 euros. For comparison, for a standard Tuareg in Germany, they ask from 66,900 euros.
