Chinese Hongqi spoke about the new government SUV LS7

The Chinese brand Hongqi, which produces cars for the leadership of the PRC, has named some technical details about the flagship SUV LS7. The company has already opened pre-orders for the new model.

The length of the SUV was 5695 mm, width – 2095 mm, height – 1985 mm, and the wheelbase is 3309 mm. The ground clearance of the car is 246 millimeters. The novelty has a frame structure with a double wishbone suspension in front and a solid axle in the rear.

Hongqi LS7 is equipped with a new 4.0-liter V8 petrol turbo engine developing 360 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. The engine works together with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system implemented using a clutch for connecting the front axle. A large SUV is capable of accelerating from standstill to “hundreds” in 9.1 seconds, and its maximum speed is 200 km / h.

In the “older” versions, the SUV will be available with a luxurious four-seat interior, where instead of a solid rear sofa, two separate captain’s chairs will be installed. All seats are heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable in several directions.

The first copies of the Hongqi LS7 will reach customers in the summer of 2022. Prices for SUVs have not yet been named.

The brand name Hongqi means “Red Banner” in Chinese. The brand, which is part of the state concern FAW, previously produced cars exclusively for the political elite of China, but recently began to produce “civilian” cars for free sale.
