Brabus has released a 900-horsepower version of the crossover Maybach GLS
The large crossover is capable of accelerating from standstill to the first “hundred” in 4.2 seconds, and its maximum speed is 320 km/h.
A new project of the Brabus company, which specializes in the deep refinement of Mercedes cars, has become a significantly modernized Mercedes-Maybach crossover. The car received both external and technical changes, including a more powerful engine.
The displacement of the 4.0-liter V8 engine was increased to 4.5 liters due to new turbochargers, larger pistons, as well as a modified intake and a new stainless steel exhaust system. In addition, specialists reprogrammed the electronic control unit of the power unit.
As a result, the output of the engine, acting together with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, has increased from the factory 557 hp. and 730 Nm of torque up to 900 forces and 1250 Newton meters.
A large crossover is capable of accelerating from standstill to the first “hundred” in 4.2 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds. faster than the standard model. The maximum speed of the car is forcibly limited at around 320 km / h.
As for other improvements, an aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit was created specifically for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. It, among other things, includes a new front splitter, which increases downforce in the front of the body at high speeds.
Plus, Brabus added 24-inch aluminum wheels with low-profile sports tires to the car. Finally, the car received a modified air suspension with modified settings, thanks to which the vehicle’s ground clearance decreased by 25 millimeters.
