The Chinese brand Hongqi, which is part of the FAW concern, has introduced a new large SUV LS7. The car has become the largest model of the brand from China, which produces cars for the local political elite, which then go on free sale.
A distinctive feature of the SUV with a length of almost 5.7 meters was a huge grille with vertical slats, as well as disproportionately long rear doors designed for the most comfortable boarding and disembarking of second-row passengers.
All seats are heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable in several directions. In general, the salon is made in a classic style with a combination of natural leather and wood in the design.
On the technical side, it is only known so far that the Hongqi LS7 has a frame structure, and the ground clearance of the car is 246 mm. The SUV is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine developing 360 hp. and 550 Nm of torque.
Production of the new Hongqi LS7 will begin towards the end of 2022. First, cars will be available to government agencies in China, and then it should appear on the open market.
The brand name Hongqi means “Red Banner” in Chinese. The brand, which is part of the FAW concern, previously produced cars exclusively for the political elite of China, but recently began to produce “civilian” cars for free sale. Plus, Hongqi has plans to enter the global market.
